A Chat with Kyoob-id’s Director, Michelle Goh

Dynamic and driven are probably two of many words to describe Michelle when you meet her for the very first time. Michelle is also full of energy, always putting others at ease with her quick-to-laugh demeanour. Indeed, as director of Kyoob-id, Michelle has motivated many others with her drive, vision, and energy. Although work has kept her busy, she is ever ready for a run, being the running enthusiast she is; her lean, athletic build is testament to that.

1. What do you think are important attributes as a leader?
Having a vision is important for staff to know what they are striving for. Being able to motivate people around keeps the morale high in the office and helps to move things too.

2. What are some of the challenges you face and how would you handle them?
I think that getting the right people, with the expertise, resources, and the ability to lead, is extremely important.

3. What are some of the upcoming plans you have for Kyoob-id?
Definitely regional expansion. We have business associates in China and we’re working on a couple of interior projects. These include projects of various nature from hospitality to healthcare.

4. What do you do to relax?
{smiles} I run to relax and to keep myself fit and healthy. I tend to want to participate in marathons to challenge myself. The other thing I do is golfing. I like to take a break from the city and golf with pals or business friends.
