Paint the heat away

An advocate of environmental sustainability, Nippon Paint has always excelled in the production of environmental-friendly, technologically advanced products. Since introducing Singapore's first odourless paint – environmentally-friendly paint emitting near zero levels of Volatile Organic Content (VOC), an air pollutant hazardous to the environment – back in 2005, Nippon Paint Singapore has not rested on its laurels but continued its quest for technological innovation.

In 2009, Nippon came up with the SolaReflect exterior wall paint that works to reflect infra-red light off coated surfaces, reducing heat build-up and resulting in much cooler homes and offices. With lesser heat, there's lesser energy consumed to cool off and thus reduced CO2 emissions. Touted to reduce surface temperature up to 5 degree Celsius, SolaReflect is weather-resistant and comprises no toxic chemicals such as lead and mercury. http://www.nipponpaint.com.sg/
